We’ve been here in Sarita Vihar at number 237 for a while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by samples of cloth, wood swatches, and a lot of sketches that we keep moving around. Interior work is more about listening than anything else, really. People come in with an idea of how they want their rooms to feel, and we just try to make that happen without it getting too complicated. It’s a lot of back and forth with carpenters and painters, which can be a bit loud sometimes. We don't have a big fancy office, just enough space to spread out the blueprints and drink some tea while we figure out where a sofa should go. Sarita Vihar is a busy spot, so there is always someone popping in to ask a quick question about a curtain rod or a paint shade. Sometimes the phone rings and it’s just someone lost trying to find the building. We handle a bit of everything when it comes to the inside of a house. It gets messy with all the catalogs and the dust from site visits, but that is just part of the job. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to help people get their homes sorted out so they can actually enjoy living there. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the neighborhood. We usually close up once it gets dark.
