You can find us at 27 B in Gali No 9, over in West Vinod Nagar. It’s one of those typical Delhi neighborhoods where the lanes are a bit narrow and there is always someone moving something on a cart. At A S Horizon Hr Services I Pvtltd, we have a small office setup where we spend our time on computers and the phone. It is not a very big space, but we have enough room for a few desks and some chairs for people to sit while they wait. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and some notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. Most of the day is spent talking to different people who are looking for work or trying to figure out their next step. It can get pretty loud in the gali, especially when the school kids are coming home or the vendors are shouting about their vegetables. We just keep our door open to let some air in, even if it brings in the dust from the street. Our routine is pretty much the same every day, starting early and staying until the sun goes down. We don't have any corporate slogans or anything like that on the walls. It’s just a place where we try to help folks out and keep our records straight. It’s a lot of typing and looking at screens in this little corner of New Delhi. We just get on with it day by day.
