We are located in the Jay Durga Market, which is inside Block 6 of the Alipur area. It is a very crowded and lively market, so there is never a dull moment outside our shop. Having been here for a long time, we have seen many other businesses come and go. Our space is small and filled with all the things we need for our daily tasks. Fancy displays or bright lights aren't used to attract people here. Most of our customers are locals who are already in the market for something else and just happen to stop by. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from cleaning the floor to talking to the suppliers. This hands-on way of working keeps us busy from morning until evening. Mission statements or corporate goals aren't things we spend time on. We just want to make sure the work we do today is good enough to keep the shop open tomorrow. When the market gets very busy, getting a delivery truck near our door becomes impossible. We just have to carry things by hand from the main road. It is hard work, but we are used to it and like being part of this community. Every day is a struggle in some ways, but it is our struggle and we are proud of it.
