Tajdaar Handicrafts

Our place is over at 41, Sheikhpuri. It’s not the easiest spot to find if you aren’t from around here, but we’ve been here long enough that most the neighbors know us. Tajdaar Handicrafts is mostly about the work we do with our hands. It gets pretty dusty in the shop with all the materials lying around, and there’s usually a bit of a mess on the floor by the end of the day. We don’t really mind it though. It’s just the way things go when you’re actually making things instead of just sitting behind a desk. Some days the work goes fast and everything looks just right, and other days we have to start over because something didn't sit right. We don’t have any big signs or fancy lights. Most of our tools have been with us for years and they have the scratches to prove it. People stop by sometimes just to see what we’re working on. It’s a quiet life for the most part, even if the street outside gets a bit loud in the afternoons. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city, we just want to finish the pieces we have on the bench and get them to whoever is waiting for them. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down and we lock up the gate for the night.
