Santohi Gariya

Santoshi and the rest of us run things from here in Chiron Vali. Our place is tucked away near Kandoli on Rajpur Road in Dehradun. It’s a nice part of town, though it’s gotten a lot busier over the years. We are basically a family-run operation. Santoshi is the daughter of H.S. Gariya, and we’ve lived in this area for a very long time. This isn't a high-end corporate office. It’s more of a home-grown business where we do everything ourselves. The air is a bit fresher here than in the middle of the city, which is a nice perk. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. Most people find us through word of mouth since we’ve been in the neighborhood so long. The post office in Kandoli is our main landmark. We spend our mornings getting things ready and the afternoons are usually for meetings or finishing up orders. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just like working in Dehradun and serving the people who come our way. It gets cold in the winters, but we just bundle up and keep the heater going while we work. It’s just how things are done here in our little corner of the world. We stay busy and we stay local.
