Siya Collection

Siya Collection is a small shop at Shop No- 5 on Amrit Kaur Road in Dehradun City. We are right near the Tehsil, so there are always people walking by on their way to do government work. Our shop is quite small, but we try to display as many clothes as we can on the walls and racks. It gets a bit tight when more than three people are inside at once. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding garments after customers look through them. The street outside is always bustling with rickshaws and vendors, so there is a lot of background noise. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the window display to catch people's eyes as they walk past. Sometimes we sit on the stools near the entrance just to watch the crowd. Dehradun can get quite cold in the winter, so we change our stock to match the seasons. People from the nearby offices often pop in during their lunch breaks to see if we have anything new. We handle everything ourselves, from buying the stock to cleaning the glass every morning. It is a simple life, running a shop in this part of the city. We know the other shopkeepers on Amrit Kaur Road, and we all look out for each other. It’s a nice community to be a part of, even when it’s busy and stressful.
