Saanvi Garments

Saanvi Garments is our little place over at 325/5 Patel Nagar. It’s a residential-turned-commercial kind of area, so it feels a bit more like a neighborhood than a big business district. We started out with just a couple of sewing machines and a lot of fabric. Now we have a few more people helping us out. The front room is where we keep the finished clothes, and the back is where all the cutting and stitching happens. It’s usually pretty messy with threads and scraps of cloth all over the floor. We try to sweep up every evening, but by noon the next day, it’s the same again. We don't have a big sign or anything, just a small one by the door. Most of our customers are locals or people who heard about us from their neighbors. We don't do any big advertising. We just make the clothes and hope people like them enough to come back. The tea man comes by twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a break. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain in the monsoon just like everyone else. We aren't trying to become a global brand. We just want to keep making decent clothes for the people who need them around here. It’s just us, working away in Patel Nagar every day. We hope the sewing machines keep running without any trouble for a long time.
