International Clothing House

We’ve been running International Clothing House from here in Dehradun for a while now. We’re tucked away in 11/31 Ashirvad Enclave, which is right off Ballupur Road. It’s a busy spot but it works for us. Most days start with unpacking boxes and making sure everything looks decent on the racks. It’s not a fancy mall shop or anything like that. We mostly deal with everyday clothes that people around here actually want to wear. Dehradun weather changes quite a bit, so we have to keep up with that, moving from light cottons to heavier things when the cold starts coming off the hills. People usually find us by word of mouth or because they live nearby in the enclave. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the shop when a new shipment comes in, but we manage to sort it out eventually. We don't really do much advertising. The address is 248006 if you’re looking at the mail or a map. It’s just a regular business run by regular people who know a bit about fabric. We spend a lot of time talking to folks who stop by, sometimes just about the neighborhood news. The traffic on Ballupur Road can be a pain during peak hours, but that’s just life in the city. We try to keep things simple and honest here. If you walk past Ashirvad Enclave, you’ll probably see us working away inside. It's just what we do every day and we are glad to be part of the community here.
