Himkuber Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at House Number 30 in the village of Kalakotuli. This is part of the Panuwanaula post office area in the Bhasiychhana block. It is a very local setup, and you won’t find any big corporate buildings around here. We are just a group of farmers who decided it was better to work as one company. Being in the hills, everything is a bit harder to coordinate, so having a central place like House Number 30 helps us stay on the same page. We talk about the seeds we need and how we are going to get the produce down to the bigger markets. The area around here is where we spend our lives. We don’t use a lot of big words or have some fancy vision written on the wall. We just want to keep our farms going and make sure we don't get cheated by the middlemen when it's time to sell. It’s a lot of walking and talking to neighbors across the fields. We know every inch of the land around Kalakotuli and Panuwanaula. When we meet, there is usually tea and a lot of discussion about the weather and the prices at the mandi. It is a real community effort. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world, just something that works for the people living in this block. It is simple, honest work that we have always done, just now we have a name for it.
