Doon Garments

If you find yourself over at 40 Narendra Vihar, that’s where we are. Doon Garments has been sitting here for some time now. It’s a residential sort of area, so we mostly see the same people day in and day out. We started with just a few racks and slowly added more as we could afford it. The walls are painted a plain off-white, and we have a mirror in the back that’s a bit loose, so you have to be careful when you use it. We handle all sorts of garments, mostly the kind of things you’d wear to work or just around the house. It's not a high-end boutique or anything. We don’t have fancy displays. We just put the clothes out where people can see them and touch the fabric. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break, leaving the door open for whoever walks in. We don't really do sales pitches. If you like something, you buy it. If not, maybe next time. The street outside is usually quiet unless there’s a festival going on. We spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure we didn't run out of the common sizes. It's a small operation, just a couple of us making sure things run okay. Nothing more to it than that. We just enjoy the work and the people who stop by for a chat while they browse.
