If you head down Rajawala Road in Central Hope Town, you will find us in Selaqui. It is a bit of a quiet area compared to the city center, which we actually prefer. Our shop, Balajiwala Fashion, is a small place where we handle everything from start to finish. We have got some old wooden shelves where we keep the different fabrics stacked up. They are a bit wobbly, but they hold everything together. We spend a lot of time talking to the locals who drop by to see what we are working on. Selaqui has a lot of open space, and the breeze coming through the door is nice in the evenings. We do not have a website or a marketing team. We just rely on the fact that we have been here for a while and people know us. My uncle usually opens the shop in the morning and I take over in the afternoon. We drink a lot of tea while we work on the designs. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains really hard, so we have to move the fabric around to keep it dry. It is just a regular local shop. We do not try to be anything we are not. Our tools are old but they get the job done. We just keep going, day after day, and we are happy with how things are on Rajawala Road. It is a simple business for simple people.
