You can find us at No. 24 on Ganga Road. It’s a fairly straightforward place to get to. We called the business Apperal And Garments because that’s exactly what we have here. We didn’t see a need for a fancy name. The shop is basically a long room with racks on both sides. We have a small changing area in the back behind a curtain, though it’s a bit cramped. We spend our days mostly organizing things and helping people find their size. Ganga Road can get pretty busy with trucks and bikes, so there’s always a bit of a roar from the street. We’ve got a small radio that we keep on low volume just to have some background noise. The inventory changes depending on what we can get a good deal on. We don't stick to just one style. If we see something that looks durable and looks okay, we bring it in. We aren't experts in fashion, we just know what's practical for people living around here. Sometimes the stock stays on the shelves longer than we’d like, but eventually, someone comes in who needs exactly that item. We just keep things moving at our own pace. It's an honest way to make a living and we enjoy being part of the local community on Ganga Road. Usually, we are here until late evening unless something comes up and we have to close early.
