We are based out of Kangra in Himachal Pradesh, right near the post office. The air is a bit fresher here than down in the plains, which is a nice perk of the job. Data Soft Solution Pvt Ltd isn't some massive tech giant. We are just a handful of people working from this spot in the 177034 area. The office is quite basic. We have some old wooden desks and computers that we’ve had for a while. It’s quiet most days, except for the sound of the rain or the occasional bus going by. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just do what we do. A lot of our time is spent looking at spreadsheets and fixing software glitches. It can be tedious, but we don't mind the quiet. Sometimes we have power cuts when the weather gets bad, so we just wait it out and talk. We aren't into the corporate culture of meetings and fancy titles. Everyone here does a bit of everything, whether it's fixing a computer or cleaning the floor. We’ve been here for a good while and the locals know us. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't make big promises, we just try to be useful. Working in the hills has its challenges, but we wouldn't trade it for a cramped city office. It's just a small business in a small town.
