Our business, Shiv Stone Industries, is situated right on National Highway 11, which is the main road between Jaipur and Agra. We are located in Manpur, which is a prime spot for the stone trade in this region. You can’t miss us if you’re driving along that stretch of the highway because of all the stone stacks. We deal with all kinds of local stones, mostly for construction and outdoor work. The yard is always a bit of a mess with stone dust and scraps, but that’s just the nature of this kind of job. We have a few big saws that run for hours, turning large blocks into usable slabs for our customers. It’s noisy and physical work, but we’ve been doing it so long it feels normal to us now. We get a lot of truckers stopping by to pick up loads heading toward the bigger cities like Delhi or Jaipur. Dealing with the highway traffic can be stressful, especially when we are trying to load a heavy trailer on a busy day. We don’t have a fancy office; we usually just sit in the small cabin by the gate to do our business and handle the logs. We try to keep our prices fair so that the local builders keep coming back to us for their needs. It’s a simple life focused on the stone and the road. We don't bother with much else here. Just honest work and trying to make a living in this busy part of the country.
