R. P. Stone

We set up R. P. Stone right on Nh. 11 Agra Road. If you know the area, we are just in front of the BSNL Tower at Sikandra Choraha. It is a very easy place to find because that tower stands out from everywhere. The traffic on the Agra Road is constant. You hear the horns and the engines all day long while we are out in the yard. We handle a lot of different stones here. They come in on trucks and we have to find a spot for them in the rows. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving things with the crane. The ground is mostly gravel and stone dust. When the wind blows hard, it gets everywhere, even inside our office. We have been at this spot for some time now. Most of our day is just talking to drivers and showing people the different types of stone we have sitting out. Some are rough and some are smoother. People come by Sikandra Choraha because it is a bit of a hub for this kind of work. We do not have a big fancy sign, just the stones and us. It gets really hot in the summer because the stone holds the heat from the sun. We try to get most of the heavy work done before noon. After that, we just stay in the shade of the office or under the BSNL tower shadow. It is a quiet life between the noise of the trucks.
