Indian Stone Corporation

Our spot is right on National Highway 11, specifically along the Agra Road section. We are pretty close to the Jaipur Mahua Toll Plaza, so you can usually hear the sound of the trucks and cars buzzing past all day long. Indian Stone Corporation has been sitting here for a good while now. It’s a convenient location because the transport can get in and out fairly easy, though the toll plaza traffic can be a headache sometimes. The yard is filled with various stones we’ve brought in. It’s not a quiet job. Between the highway noise and the sound of stone being moved around, it gets pretty loud. We spend most of our time out in the open, checking the stock or helping load up a delivery. The weather out here near Jaipur can get really dry, so there’s always a layer of stone dust on everything. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with polished brochures or sales pitches. People just come by, look at the piles of stone, and we tell them what’s available. It’s a simple setup. Some days the heat is a bit much, but we have a bit of shade where we can grab some water and take a break. It’s a busy life being near the highway, but it keeps the business moving. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short trip to work at the yard.
