M.S. Stone Articles

M.S. Stone Articles is right at Manpur Choraya, specifically Word No 10, near the Puliya Kay Pass. It is a dusty spot because of all the stone we handle every day. Working with stone is heavy work, and our hands are usually covered in grey powder by noon. The shop isn't much to look at, just a place where we keep the pieces and tools. My brother and I manage things here, and sometimes my cousin helps when we have a lot to move. People around the choraya know us because we have been here since the roads were much narrower. The traffic near the Puliya can get a bit loud with the trucks passing through. We usually have the radio playing in the background to drown out some of the noise. It is honest work, even if it is tiring on the back and shoulders. We don't have a big office or anything, just a desk with a lot of papers and maybe some old receipts. Customers come by asking about different types of stone, and we just show them what is in the yard. Sometimes we have tea together while they decide. There isn't much more to it than that. We just show up, do the lifting, and go home when the sun goes down. It's just a local business trying to get by in Manpur. Most days are much the same as the ones before, just keeping the stone moving.
