Steel Born

Steel Born is located at Plot No-42B in the Dabgram Industrial Estate. We are out in Jalpaiguri, near the Satellite Town Ship area. Working in an industrial estate means it’s never really quiet. There are always trucks moving and the sound of machines coming from the neighboring plots. We work with steel, which is heavy and can be quite dangerous if you aren't careful. Our workshop isn't a clean place; there is always metal dust on the floor and grease on our hands. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it for years. The weather in West Bengal can get really hot and humid, which makes the metal shop feel like a furnace sometimes. We just keep our heads down and do the jobs that come in. We don't have a big front office or any sales people in suits. Usually, it’s just us in our work clothes handling the orders. Most of our work is for other businesses that need steel parts or structures. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading materials. It’s a lot of physical labor and staying on your feet all day. The address is a bit out of the way, so we don’t get many random visitors. It’s mostly just the regulars and the delivery drivers. We show up every morning, get the machines started, and see what needs to be cut or welded before we go home for the night.
