B M A College is out in Baheri, which is part of the Darbhanga district in Bihar. We are located at number 30 in Baheri. It’s quite a distance from the main city center, so things move a bit slower out here. The college is a place where students from the local villages come to get their degrees. We don't have all those modern gadgets or high-tech labs you see in the big city schools, but we have the basic stuff that’s needed. The building is a bit old but it works fine for what we do. Students often sit outside under the trees when it gets too hot in the classrooms. In this part of Bihar, the summers are really tough, so everyone tries to stay in the shade. We see a lot of young people who are the first ones in their families to ever go to a college. It makes the whole atmosphere feel a bit different. We aren't trying to be the most famous college in the state. We just want to make sure the lectures happen and the exams are done on time. The roads around Baheri can get pretty muddy during the monsoon, so sometimes students or staff are a bit late. But we just open the gates and wait for everyone to get here. It’s a simple life. We focus on the subjects and the books. There’s no need for anything fancy when you are just trying to help people get ahead.
