Being located out here at Plot No. 33 in the Karand Industrial Area keeps us pretty busy most of the year. Sri Manjunath Foods & Packagings Pvt. Ltd. is basically a place where there is always the sound of machines running or tape being pulled. Mulki is a decent place to work from, even if the industrial area gets a bit crowded with trucks during the middle of the day. We spend a lot of time making sure the food is sealed right and the boxes are stacked so they won't fall over. It’s not the quietest job, especially when the packaging lines are going full speed. Our floor is usually covered in labels or bits of plastic that we have to sweep up every few hours. The staff mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well enough to talk while we work. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a small corner with a few chairs and a computer to keep track of the shipments going out. Sometimes a machine breaks down and everyone has to pitch in to fix it quickly. It's the kind of place where you get your hands dirty and you’re glad when the Friday shift ends. We just focus on getting the packaging done right so the food stays fresh for whoever ends up buying it in the shops.
