Sanoor Rice Traders

We are located at Door No. 3/435 in Sanoor. Sanoor Rice Traders is basically a large shed where we keep the stock. The air always smells like raw grain and jute bags. It is a very direct business. We buy rice, we store it, and we sell it to people who need it. There isn't much to the "About Us" side of things other than that. We spend a lot of time weighing bags and loading them onto trucks that come and go from our entrance. The floor is made of rough concrete and there is usually a thin layer of husk everywhere. We don't have an office with fancy chairs. Mostly we just sit on stools near the front door where we can see who is coming up the road. The weather matters a lot to us because dampness is bad for the grain. We keep a close eye on the roof whenever it rains. Our neighbors are mostly other small traders and farmers. It is a quiet enough place until the delivery trucks arrive and everyone starts shouting to get the bags moved quickly. We’ve been at this same spot for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We know the local varieties of rice by heart. It’s just honest work, providing a basic staple to the community around Sanoor.
