The Utkal Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association is based over at the industrial estate. It is a bit of a mouthful to say the full address, Pharma Odisutkal Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Associati Industutri Industutrial Estate, especially with how it gets written down on the maps sometimes, but we are there among all the other buildings. This place is mostly about the people running the different manufacturing units. We spend a lot of time talking to each other about how things are going in the trade. It is not a shiny corporate headquarters. Most of us have been in this industry for many years and we just needed a central place to meet up and deal with the local stuff. The industrial estate can be a bit noisy with all the trucks coming and going, but that is just the way it is here. We handle the paperwork and try to keep things moving for the members. It’s not always smooth, things get stuck sometimes, but we work through it. Being at Utkal Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Association means we see a lot of the same people every week. We don’t put on any airs. We just sit around the table, have some tea, and talk about the latest rules or what needs fixing at the site. It’s practical work. If you need to find us, just head toward the Pharma area in the industrial estate. We are usually in by nine and stay until the sun starts to go down. It’s a busy spot but it feels right for what we do.
