If you go to College Square in Cuttack, you’ll find the Kitab Mahal building on Jobra Road. We are right at the very top floor. It’s a bit of a walk up the stairs, but it gives us a good view of the area. We’ve been operating Softech from this spot for quite some time. It’s a simple office where we focus on computer courses and technical stuff. We have a row of computers that have seen a lot of use over the years. The keyboards might be a bit loud, but they work fine. We get all sorts of people coming in, from students to older folks wanting to learn how to use a PC. It’s not a polished corporate office. There are wires here and there and piles of manuals on the shelves. We like it that way because it feels like a real place to learn. The staff here is small, just two or three of us who know the machines inside out. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign outside. Most people just see the Kitab Mahal building and know where to go. It can get warm in the afternoons since we are on the top floor, but the fans keep the air moving. We just keep things running and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a quiet life here in Cuttack. We are usually here until the sun goes down and classes finish.
