Routray Co.

Routray Co. is based in Village Tirtol, right here in the Jagatpur area of Cuttack. We have been part of this community for a long time. Our setup is right in the middle of Tirtol, so it’s easy for the local builders to find us. Making bricks is a messy business, but it’s essential for all the construction going on. We spend our days dealing with mud, fire, and a lot of sweat. The kiln is the heart of the place, and we have to keep it fed with fuel to keep the temperature right. It’s not a job for everyone because of the smoke and the heavy lifting. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for years. We aren't some big corporation with branches everywhere; we're just this one yard here in Tirtol. We keep things simple. We make the bricks, we stack them, and we sell them to whoever shows up with a truck. Sometimes we have to deal with bad weather that ruins a whole batch of wet bricks, but that’s just part of the risk you take in this line of work. We don't use fancy marketing or try to sound like something we aren't. We’re just local people providing building materials for other local people. It’s hard, honest work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk, and we’re fine with that. It's what we know how to do best.
