M/S Kjs Ahluwalia Steel & Power

Out here in Dist Cuttack, things move at a different pace than the big cities, but at M/S Kjs Ahluwalia Steel & Power, we stay quite busy. Being located in Orissa, specifically the 753004 area, we are surrounded by a lot of industrial activity. It’s dusty and loud most days, which I suppose is normal for a place dealing with steel and power. The roads leading up to our site can be a bit bumpy depending on the season, especially during the monsoons when the rain hits this part of India really hard. We have a lot of people coming in and out for shifts, and the tea stall down the road is usually where everyone gathers when there is a break. The heat in Cuttack can be quite something in the summer months, making the work even tougher. We don't have a flashy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more about the actual work on the ground and making sure everything runs okay. There are always trucks moving around and the smell of heavy machinery in the air. It’s a practical environment where we focus on what needs to be done. Most of the staff comes from nearby villages or the main Cuttack town. We have been here for a while and the locals know where we are located. It’s just a regular, hard-working place trying to keep up with the daily demands of the industry.
