We’ve been out here in Chilamkur for a long time now. Most people know the spot at Q.No D-13 in Ns Nagar. It’s a busy place with trucks coming and going all day. If you live around the Kadapa district, you’ve probably seen the dust and the activity near the plant. Working at India Cements Ltd isn’t just a job for us; it’s where we live too. Life revolves around the shifts and the sirens. Sometimes the heat in AP gets really tough, but we just keep at it. People come by the office for all sorts of things, usually just to check on orders or see when the next load is ready. It’s not fancy here. The walls could use some paint, and the desks are covered in papers and site maps. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather or the local news while waiting for the next truck to scale. It’s a bit noisy because of the machinery nearby. You get used to that hum after a while. Most of the guys here have been working at this location for decades. We know every corner of the Icl colony. It’s just how things are in this part of the state. We don't do much fancy talk. Just cement and hard work every day. It's a solid living for a lot of families in the area.
