Ganga Cement

Ganga Cement is tucked away in the Csi Compound at Jesus Towers in Nagarajupet. Kadapa can get really hot, so we spend a lot of time trying to stay in the shade of the warehouse. The building at 7825 isn't hard to spot once you get into the compound. We’ve been operating from here for a bit, and we’ve seen the area change as more buildings go up around us. It’s mostly just hard work. Loading cement bags is heavy, and you definitely feel it in your back by the end of the shift. We don't have a team of secretaries or a fancy lobby. You just walk in, find one of us, and tell us what you're looking for. Usually, there's a bit of a wait if a truck is currently being unloaded, but we try to move as fast as we can. We've got regulars who come in from all over Nagarajupet. They know we don't bother with much talk; we just get the bags ready and help them get on their way. The floors are always covered in that fine grey powder, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business. We keep our records in some old ledgers and a small computer that’s seen better days. It’s a simple life here at Jesus Towers. We just focus on keeping the stock full and making sure the roof doesn't leak when it finally rains in the summer.
