Maalin Exports

Maalin Exports is based out of a small building at 221/31 on Kumbakonam Road in Panruti. This area is famous for jackfruit and there is always a lot of activity on the road with trucks moving in and out. Our place is not very big but it serves its purpose for our export business. We have been working from this spot for a while now. The building has high ceilings which helps keep it cool when the sun is beating down on the road. We have a few desks and a lot of shelves where we keep our samples and documents. My brother and I run things mostly. We do not have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones so we just pick it up whenever it rings. Sometimes we are out back checking on the stock and might miss a call but we always call back. The floor is concrete and we have an old rug in the middle of the room that has some coffee stains on it. We do not worry too much about appearances because the work is what matters most to us. We eat our lunch together at the back of the office. It is a quiet time before the afternoon rush starts again. We use a lot of handwritten ledgers because it feels more natural than typing everything into a screen. Panruti is a good place to be for a business like ours and we like the local feel of the neighborhood.
