Somsubhra Das

My name is Somsubhra Das and I run things from our family spot in Kumarpur. Most people around here just tell others to look for the Contai-Digha Bus Stand since everyone knows where that is. We are located at Vill-Kumarpur, Po-Contai in the Purba Medinipur district. Being in West Bengal, the weather gets really humid in the summers, but the breeze from the coast helps a little bit. The address is technically C/O-Amiya-Niranjan, which is my family's name on the building. I spend a lot of time sitting near the front, watching the buses go by toward the beach. It gets busy during the holidays when people are heading down to Digha. My desk is usually covered in papers and tea cups. I try to keep the place clean, but with all the dust from the road, it is a constant battle. I have been in this village since I was a kid and everyone knows where the house is. It is a humble place, nothing like those big city offices you see on television. We just do our work, talk to the neighbors, and try to make a living.
