Vk Cement is situated over on Police Quarters Road in the Ganapathy area. It’s a straightforward location. We handle the cement bags and orders from this site. The road is usually okay, though you see the police quarters nearby. We have a yard area and a small office space. Dealing with cement means things get a bit dusty, especially when we’re loading the trucks. We just wear our work clothes and get on with it. Every morning we check what’s come in and what needs to go out. It’s heavy work, but that’s the business. We don’t have any fancy showrooms. People come to us when they need materials for their building projects. We’ve been in Ganapathy for a while. It’s a decent spot for a business like ours. The office is just a place to keep the books and take phone calls. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic on Police Quarters Road. We just keep the gate open during the day. We don't use any complicated systems. It's mostly just manual labor and keeping track of the inventory. We have a few regulars who have been coming to us for years. We just try to be fair and do the work properly. The sun can be quite hot out in the yard, so we take breaks when we can. It’s a honest day’s work. We don't expect it to be easy, we just get it done.
