Acc Limited (Associated Cement Companies Limited)

If you head out towards the Coimbatore district, you'll find us in Madukkarai at the ACC Colony. This place has a long history, and many people still call it the Associated Cement Companies Limited, even though everyone just says ACC now. The colony is a whole community in itself, located at GG-62. It feels like a small town where everyone knows who works at the plant. The weather in Tamil Nadu can be pretty harsh, and the sun really beats down on the colony roads during the afternoon. We’ve got a lot of trees around to help with the shade, though. This office isn't anything modern or sleek; it’s a functional space that has seen decades of work. There’s a certain rhythm to life here in Madukkarai that revolves around the shifts at the cement works. You’ll see people walking to the office from their houses in the colony, carrying their lunch bags. We don’t have a lot of the fancy tech you might find in a city office, but we get the job done with what we have. It’s a practical environment where the focus is on the cement and the people who make it happen. You can see the old signage around the area that reminds you of how long this place has been standing. It’s a bit dusty, and the buildings are showing their age, but it’s where we belong and we just keep things moving.
