Our office is located at 15/9 in Nehru Colony, specifically on 8th Street. It is a regular neighborhood, so you might walk right past us if you aren't looking for the Vidhaippavan Vivasayi Farmer Producer Company Limited sign. The name basically means the farmer who sows, and that is what we are all about. We spend most of our time dealing with the realities of planting and harvesting. The office is often full of samples or tools that people have brought in. It’s not a very large space, so it gets crowded when more than three or four farmers come in at once to talk about their crops. We have a lot of conversations about the soil and what the weather is doing this month. It’s not always easy keeping everything on track when you are dealing with nature, but we try our best. We stay busy with the paperwork that comes with being a producer company. There are always forms to fill out and records to keep for the members. We don't really have a set schedule sometimes; if someone needs help after hours, we usually end up staying late. The street outside is usually busy with kids playing or people going to the shops. It’s a very local feel here. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks of supporting the people who grow our food.
