Our office is located at 10/8 on Bharathi Park Road. It’s a decent spot to be in, honestly. The trees along the road provide some nice shade during the hotter months of the year. Here at Kalaivani Agro Export (I) Pvt. Ltd., the day starts with opening up the shutters and letting some air in. It gets a bit dusty being near the road, so there is always some cleaning to do first thing. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of people. It’s just a handful of us who know each other well. We sit at our desks and handle the paperwork that comes in. Some days are busier than others, especially when there are more shipments to track or phone calls to answer. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Whoever is closest to the door usually gets up to see who is there. Bharathi Park Road is a busy area, but our specific building feels tucked away just enough. We eat lunch together most days, usually just whatever we brought from home. It is a simple way of working. No one wears suits or anything formal. We just wear what is comfortable for a long day of work. The afternoon sun hits the windows around three, which is when it gets a little warm inside. We just turn up the fans and keep going until it is time to lock up and head home.
