Vennalgiri Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based in the Karthikeyan Complex, which is at 40/9 on Polluvapatti, right on the Siruvani Main Road. It’s a pretty busy area because of the traffic going back and forth, but it’s a good location for us. Vennalgiri Farmers Producer Company Limited was started to bring the local farmers around here together. We use the office in the complex to coordinate things and meet up. It’s usually got a few farmers sitting around talking about the latest government rules or the cost of seeds. We don't have a receptionist or fancy furniture. It’s just a place to get work done. Siruvani Main Road is a lifeline for this area, and being right on it helps us get things moved quickly. We aren't trying to be a huge corporation. We just want to make sure the farmers in Polluvapatti have a place to go when they need to organize. The work is hard and the hours are long, especially when it’s time to harvest. We deal with the practical stuff, like where to store the grain or how to get a better price at the market. Some days are stressful when things don't go to plan, but we just keep at it. We’re just a group of people from the neighborhood trying to help each other out. That's the long and short of it for us here at the complex, just trying to make it work.
