We are located at Kannampalayam Pirivu on the Pappampatti Main Road. Vee Key Cement Workss has been here for a while, right at the junction where things get a bit hectic. There is always a lot of movement on the main road with buses and bikes going past. We deal with cement products, so there is always a layer of grey dust on everything in the yard. It’s a tough job, but it’s what we know. We start our mornings early, usually before the traffic gets too heavy. Most of our workers live in the nearby villages and come in on their cycles. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just a small shed where we keep the records and a place to get out of the rain. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy loading done early. People stop by because they see us from the road while they are traveling. We don’t do any fancy promotion. We just show them what we have and tell them the price. Sometimes we have a chat about the weather or the local news while the truck is being loaded. It’s a straightforward business. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the stacks are secure. It’s not a glamorous life, but it keeps us going and serves the local builders well. We just try to do an honest day's work here.
