Valluvan & Co Engineers & Builders

You can find us at number 7 in Tauta Nagar, which is over in the Vadavalli area. We are right near Chinmaya Higher Secondary School, so we hear the school bell ring quite often throughout the day. Valluvan & Co Engineers & Builders is basically a bunch of us who like building things and fixing technical problems. We have been in Vadavalli for a while, and most of our work happens within this community. Engineering isn't always as clean as it looks in drawings. We spend a lot of time on-site, getting our shoes dirty and making sure the bricks are straight. Our office is filled with rolls of blueprints and calculators. It’s a bit of a cramped space because of all the equipment, but it works for us. We don't really have a front desk person; whoever is closest to the door usually greets people. It’s a very casual atmosphere. We talk to a lot of parents from the school and neighbors who are looking to add a room or build a small house. We don't promise anything we can't actually do with our hands. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we work late if a project is behind schedule, which happens more than we'd like. That's just how the building trade goes in this part of town.
