Tniamp Kallavi Farmer Producer Company Limited is right there on Kacheri Street at No.1/360 in Kallavi Village. We are part of the Uthangaraitaluk in the Krishnagiri District. This group was formed because we saw how difficult it was for a single farmer to get any leverage when selling their crops. We aren't a big company with a lot of money; we are just a bunch of neighbors who decided to cooperate. Our office in the village is a simple place where we gather to talk about the rain and the market prices. We spend a lot of time looking at how we can improve the way we farm without spending a fortune on things we don't need. The Tniamp name is on the company, but it’s really just us local people from Kallavi doing the work. We handle the collection of produce from the nearby fields and try to find the best place to sell it so everyone gets a little more in their pocket. It’s a lot of manual labor and the paperwork can be a headache sometimes, but we manage. We’ve lived in this part of Tamil Nadu all our lives and we know the land well. There’s no marketing team here, just farmers who know what it’s like to work from sunrise to sunset. We keep the doors open for anyone in the village who wants to join or just needs some advice on their crops. It's just about helping each other out.
