Tniamp 2019-2020 Dhanya Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated at Survey No. 125/7A in Thirumayagoundanpatti. We are right in the Pachamalaiyankottai Village in the Nilakottai area of Dindigul. Our company was started around 2019 because a group of us felt we were losing out by working solo. We focus on grains, which is what a lot of us grow in this part of Tamil Nadu. The location is quite beautiful with the Pachamalaiyankottai hills nearby, but the work is still hard. We use our office space to keep track of what every member is producing and to organize the transport to the markets. We aren't some big city firm; we’re just local folks who know how to plow a field and harvest a crop. Sometimes the rains don't come when they should, and that’s when being part of a producer company really helps because we can share our resources and knowledge to get through it. We don't use any fancy language or try to impress people with big words. We just want to get a decent price for the grain we grow. It’s a lot of work to keep the company running alongside our own farms, but we think it’s worth the effort. People from Pachamalaiyankottai and the nearby spots come to us to see how they can improve their yields. We’re just trying to make the farming life a bit more stable for everyone involved in the group. It’s a basic business for local people.
