Thiochem

We are located at 2/146 on Madukkarai Main Road. Thiochem has been operating from this spot for several years now. It’s a bit of a dusty area with all the trucks passing by on the main road, but it works for what we do. We handle various chemical supplies that local industries and workshops need. Most of our day is spent checking inventory and loading orders for delivery. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just warehouse work and keeping track of containers. The office is small and usually has stacks of papers on the desks. We try to stay on top of things, but sometimes it gets hectic when several deliveries arrive at once. We’ve gotten to know the regular drivers who come through here. The heat can be tough in the afternoons, especially inside the storage area. We wear our work clothes and just get on with it. There’s always something that needs moving or a floor that needs sweeping. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertising. People in the trade know we are here on the main road. It’s a practical setup. We focus on the chemicals we stock and making sure they get where they need to go. Sometimes we have to wait on shipments that get delayed, which is frustrating, but that’s just how business goes. We’re just local people doing our daily rounds and keeping the shop open.
