The Ramco Cements

Our office at 7, Cowley Brown Rd is in a part of R.S. Puram that feels a bit different from the heavy industrial zones. Vincent Colony has these older trees and a bit of a neighborhood feel, even though we are dealing with something as heavy as cement. The Ramco Cements has been operating from this Coimbatore address for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a walk from the main shopping streets, which is nice because it stays a little quieter. We have a routine that hasn't changed in ages. We show up, clear the desk, and start taking calls from the sites. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We know each other’s families and where to get the best lunch nearby. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times we just sit and talk about the weather while waiting for a delivery update. The building itself has that lived-in feel, with old files and desks that have seen better days. We don't worry too much about having the latest furniture. As long as the work gets done and the customers are sorted, we’re happy. Being in R.S. Puram means we are central enough for people to find us, but tucked away enough to avoid the worst of the city's madness. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to stay organized and keep the business moving along without too much fuss or extra noise.
