Our place is at No.45A in Periyaganagampatti Village, which is under the Nochipatti Post. Tafra Farmer Producer Company Limited is a local group. We don't have a big fancy building or anything like that. It is just a regular house turned into an office space where we can meet. Most days you will find us drinking tea and talking about the crops or the prices at the market. It is a very rural area, so everything moves a bit slower here compared to the city. We like it that way. The road up to the village can be a bit rough after it rains, but we are used to it. We help the farmers around here get what they need and sell what they grow. It's a lot of manual work and checking things by hand. We don't use many computers if we can help it, mostly just notebooks and pens. The people who work here are all from the village or nearby. We know the families and the history of the farms around us. It isn't a job where you wear a suit. You’re more likely to see us in dusty clothes because we’ve been out in the fields. It’s an honest way to spend the day. We are just trying to keep the local farming going without too much trouble from the outside. That's about all there is to it.
