Surabhi Farms And Foods Private Limited is located on the second floor of a building in Subramaniam Layout, right off Trichy Road. It’s a busy part of Coimbatore. We started this because we wanted to connect the farms to the food people eat in the city. It’s a bit different than being right in the middle of a field, but we are back and forth between the office and the farms all the time. We handle a lot of the logistics and the processing side of things. It gets pretty hectic in the office with the phones ringing and people coming in and out. We aren't corporate types in suits. We’re usually in plain clothes, just trying to get the day's work done. We deal with different types of food products, making sure they are handled right. Some days we are worried about transport delays and other days we are checking the quality of a new batch of produce. It’s a lot of small details that you have to get right. We don't have everything figured out perfectly, but we try our best to keep things moving. It’s just a group of us trying to do something useful in the food business. Ramanathapuram is a good location for us because it’s easy to get to, though parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. There is always a lot to manage, but we just take it one day at a time.
