Sulthanpet Woman Agri Producer Company Limited

Sulthanpet Woman Agri Producer Company Limited is based at Door No 7/102 in Kulathupalayam, Sulthanpet. We are in the Sulur area of Coimbatore. This company is a bit different because it was started by the women here who do a lot of the heavy lifting in the fields but didn't always have a say in how things were run. We decided it was time to change that. We gathered together to handle our own agricultural business. Our office is a simple place, often filled with the sound of kids playing nearby or people talking over tea. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We deal with everything from getting seeds to figuring out where to sell our produce. It’s a lot of responsibility, and sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming when the harvest all comes in at once. But we support each other. If one of us is having a hard time, the others step in. We don't have a big mission statement written on the wall. We just want to be able to support our families and make our farms more productive. We use what we’ve learned from our parents and grandparents, combined with some new ideas we pick up along the way. It’s a very local, very human way of doing things. We’re just working hard in Sulthanpet to make a better life for ourselves.
