Srisen Instruments & Controls

Srisen Instruments & Controls is at number 9 on Park Street in Kattoor. It’s a narrow street but there is a lot going on. We have been here for a good while. The shop is full of gauges and switches and all sorts of control parts. It smells like metal and a bit of oil. Most of our day is spent looking for specific pieces that people need for their machines. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes we have to use the old wooden ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s a bit dusty up there. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us. Usually, they come in with a broken part and ask if we have a replacement. We do our best to find it in the piles. The lighting isn't the best so we use small torches to read the serial numbers on the parts. It’s a quiet life mostly. We have a small radio that stays on a local station all day. Kattoor is a busy hub for this kind of work. We know most of the guys in the other shops on Park Street. We help each other out if someone is short on a specific tool or part. It’s just how things work around here. We close up around six and walk to the corner for some snacks before heading home.
