Sterling Trading Company Pollachi

Sterling Trading Company Pollachi operates out of the Sethumadai Vickramanan Farm House. Pollachi is such a beautiful area, especially out toward Sethumadai where it’s all green and quiet. Working from a farmhouse is a lot different than being in a city office. We don't have the noise of buses or the constant rush of people. Instead, we have the trees and the open air. We do a lot of trading from here, mostly involving the products that grow in this region, like coconuts and other crops. The farmhouse serves as our base where we keep our records and meet with the local growers. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, but we still work hard to make sure everything is sorted out. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because we are out in the countryside, but we make it work. Visitors usually enjoy coming out here because it’s a nice break from the town. We don't have a formal reception or anything like that. You just walk in and we sit down on the porch or in the main room to talk business. It’s a very direct way of doing things. We’ve been in this trade for a long time and we know the land around here very well. It’s a simple life, focused on the products and the people who grow them.
