Green Exports

Our small office and warehouse for Green Exports is situated at 2/312 Shanmugapuram in R. V. Nagar. It is very close to the Mettupalayam to Covai main road, which is handy for the transport trucks but also means we deal with a lot of dust and noise throughout the day. You can hear the buses honking all the time while we are trying to count our stock. The building isn't new, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it serves us well enough for what we do here in Karamdai. We handle a variety of local goods that need to be sent out to different places. Usually, it is just me and two other workers who have been with us since we started. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People around the neighborhood just know we are here. Most of our time is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or making sure the crates are labeled correctly so they don't get lost. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the afternoon, and we have to wait it out with some cold water and a bit of chat. It is a simple life, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We just want to get the work finished and go home to our families at the end of the day.
