Saadow Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are tucked away behind the Central Theatre in Natham, at door number 9/177. It’s an interesting spot because you can hear the sounds from the town while we work. This is the Saadow Farmer Producer Company. We are basically a group of farmers from around the Dharmapuri area who decided to work together. It isn't a high-rise office or anything polished. It is just a practical space where we store things and meet up. We deal with the realities of farming every day. Some days we are talking about seeds, and other days we are trying to fix a broken piece of equipment. We don't go in for big promises or fancy language. We just want to get a fair deal for what we grow. Being a producer company means we have some paperwork to do, but we’d all rather be out in the fields. The heat in Natham can be pretty intense in the summer months. We usually get to the office early before it gets too hot. Our neighbors know us well. We aren't a big corporation from the city; we are just local people trying to make the farm business work. It is a lot of back and forth and sometimes a bit of arguing, but we get through the day. We focus on what needs to be done right now. It is hard work, but we are in it together for the long haul.
