S. M. B. Overseas Imports & Exports

Our office for S. M. B. Overseas Imports & Exports is at No. 50 Bose Gatden in the Saravanampatti area. It’s a pretty good location because Saravanampatti has grown a lot lately. Bose Gatden is a bit more tucked away, so we don’t get the worst of the noise. The building is a standard concrete structure with a small gate. We’ve got a couple of rooms where we handle all the import and export details. There are always boxes stacked up in the corner, some coming in from overseas and some waiting to go out. We spend a lot of time looking at shipping dates and tracking numbers on our old monitors. It can get a bit stuffy inside when the air conditioning isn't running, but we're used to it. We don't have any big corporate mission statements on the walls. Mostly, there are just calendars and some maps of the shipping routes. People often get confused with the spelling of the garden name, but we’ve been at No. 50 long enough that the regulars know the way. We do our own packing and sometimes our own deliveries if it's close by. It’s just a small team of us trying to keep things organized. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to make sure the goods get where they are supposed to go without any big headaches. It’s a decent life here.
