7 Star Exports & Import

Thirumoorthy Layout, number 14. We’re right off Thadagam Road. 7 Star Exports & Import is just the name on the door. We handle both ends of the trade, in and out. Thadagam Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise. Our layout is a bit quieter though, which is nice for when we have to focus. We’ve got a small team here. Most of the time we’re just tracking shipments or talking to the guys at the port. It’s a lot of coordination. The building isn't brand new, it has some character. We’ve painted the walls once or twice but they still look a bit worn. That doesn’t bother us much. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just need the space to work. Thirumoorthy Layout is a good location because we can get to the main road quickly. I bring my lunch from home and we usually eat together in the back. There’s a small tree out front that gives a bit of shade to the motorbikes. We’ve been at this for several years now. Importing and exporting is just what we know how to do. It keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. If you see the sign for 7 Star, you’ve found us. Nothing more to it than that. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour but we just wait it out and talk. It's a living.
