You can find us over at S. F No. 341 on Mettupalayam Road in the Narasimhanaickenpalayam area. Working with iron and steel is a noisy business, there’s no way around it. Between the clanging of metal and the sound of the trucks on the main road, it’s rarely quiet here. We handle all sorts of structural steel and iron pieces. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful where you step and how you move things so nobody gets hurt. Our yard is usually full of rebar, beams, and various metal sections. We spend a lot of time checking the thickness and making sure the lengths are what they’re supposed to be. It gets pretty hot under the metal roof during the summer, so we drink a lot of water and try to keep moving. We aren't big on office work; most of our time is spent outside or in the loading area. Dealing with contractors and builders is our daily routine. They tell us what they need for their sites and we get it loaded up. Sometimes the weather makes the metal slippery or the ground muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and most people in the neighborhood know the sound of our gates opening in the morning. It’s a solid, practical trade and we’re just here to do our part in the construction supply chain.
